Frigidaire gas range recall for gas leak hazard (2009) — read this important safety alert for full details and affected models.
Electrolux Home Products recalled approximately 210,000 Frigidaire and Electrolux freestanding gas ranges due to a gas leak hazard. CPSC Recall #09-257 was issued after reports that the gas supply line connection at the back of the range could develop a leak over time, creating a risk of fire or explosion.
The gas connection fitting at the rear of the range could loosen during normal use or if the range was moved for cleaning, allowing natural gas or propane to leak into the kitchen area. Electrolux received reports of gas odor complaints before the recall was announced.
