Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
DE Defrost sensor error High Ice accumulates on the evaporator coils behind the rear freezer panel because the defrost cycle timing is disrupted. View DH Defrost heater fault High A thick layer of ice or frost covers the inside rear wall of the freezer compartment and the evaporator coils behind it. View HI High temperature alarm Medium The display shows HI and emits a repeated beeping tone that continues until the alarm button is pressed or the temperature drops. View LO Low temperature alarm Medium Items in the freezer are far colder than normal, making ice cream rock-hard and food difficult to separate or cut. View OP Door open alarm Low The front display shows OP and emits a repeating beep every 30 seconds until the door is closed or the alarm button is pressed. View PF Power failure detected Low The display shows PF with a beeping alarm after electrical power has been restored following an outage. View SB Sabbath mode active Low The front display shows SB or the word Sabbath, and most other display elements are dimmed or turned off. View SY CE Board communication error High The front display panel shows the SY CE code and does not respond to any button presses or temperature adjustments. View SY CF Condenser fan fault High The refrigerator and freezer sections gradually warm because the compressor cannot operate efficiently without condenser cooling. View SY EF Evaporator fan fault High The freezer compartment temperature rises above 10 degrees Fahrenheit and food begins to soften or thaw. View
